Visit to Santa

We made our annual visit to a local Santa Claus. This year it was the one at Walmart. The kids were excited to see him. Pinky went up first and automatically sat down next to him and started smiling. After a few pictures she stood up. I had to remind her to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. She named only one item... one I hadn't talked to Santa about getting this year...
Monkey was next. He sat down and actually did a good job of smiling for the pictures. I don't think he told Santa anything he wanted because he zoned in on the big basket of candy canes and completely forgot about Santa.
Phweedy was last. We both thought she would start crying. She did the opposite... smiled and laughed. She did kind of give him a weird look when we were done with pictures and showed her who was holding her, but not one cry. Here are the pictures from their visit.

Halloween

We had a great Halloween. The kids enjoyed the trunk or treat at the church and got a bunch of candy. Then they were super excited to have Grandma and Grandpa come and spend the day with them on Hallween. First we went to the Haunted house at the Children's museum. We hadn't been since they finished the remodel. It looks awesome! The kids had a great time going through the haunted house and getting coupons and candy. Then after showing off by riding bikes and eating dinner we got ready for the trick or treating.
Pinky was a bride this year and dressed Barney the Bear up as her groom. Barney belongs to her class at school and she was to do something fun with him and then talk about it. So the Bear got to trick or treat. I think he enjoyed it! ;)

Monkey was a tiger. He wouldn't make up his mind and so it was a last minute decision. He had been going back and forth between the tiger and a bee. He made a good tiger too.

Phweedy was a pumpkin. She wore the same costume I wore as a baby that my mother had made. It was a neat thing to have one of my children wear the same costume as I did. I hope it lasts so I can pass it on to her and one of her children can wear it as well.

Grandma and Grandpa dressed in some silly hats and the kids thought it was hilarious that they dressed up as well.

The trick or treating went great. We only went around our block and the kids started getting tired and cold. They got a lot of candy though and have been eating it like crazy.

"Lions and Tigers and Bears!" Now That's funny!

Ok, here's the story. I was playing with Phweedy in her bouncer in the piano room. Monkey came running in, pointing to the other room and telling me that there was a bear in there. I thought he was playing make believe and played along telling him to be quiet so the bear didn't get him and having him try to scare the bear away. Finally he said "you come with me." He took me over by the door and showed me this. His imagination amazes me!!! It really DOES look like a bear!

Phweedy is always a happy baby. Honestly, she is happy 99.9% of the time. She has been smiling and laughing, well, almost since the day she was born! She must not be as big of a fan of the spotlight as her sister is, because she won't always perform for the camera. But I finally got her laughing on camera. I will warn you, it tends to get a little high pitched. :) Listening to her laugh just makes us smile. You can even hear Monkey in the background (he's doing his business in the bathroom all by himself) saying "That's funny Mommy!" Enjoy and I hope she makes you smile as well.
